Set within 6.9 km of Tanjoji Temple and 7.2 km of Shabado, Aunsanbo offers rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Misakicho. It was a beautiful Japanese home stay. The hosts make you feel apart of the family and provide delicious Japanese food. They went out of their way to show us around the area and teach us about the history. The rooms are very cosy and the main living area has incredible views across the mountains.

Set 18 km from Former Residence of Mitsukuri Genpo, Kifuno Sato offers 4-star accommodation in Mimasaka and has an open-air bath, free bikes and a garden. The hospitality was fantastic. The overall atmosphere was extremely welcoming.

The Shiroyama Terrace Tsuyama Villa features a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Tsuyama, 200 metres from Tsuyama Wonder Museum. Beautiful hotel with a lovely ensuite bath offering views of the city.

Located in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata offers Japanese-style accommodations in a historical building from the Edo period. This was absolutely fabulous! The highlight of our trip and so off the beaten trail. The ryokan is stunning and right in the historic district on the canal. The 11 course dinner served in our room was delicious and such a special experience of Japanese foods. The breakfast was also delicious and traditional and served in a peaceful breakfast room. We loved the experience of the onsen, having dinner, and then taking a stroll by the canal in our yukatans. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Japan.

Kofuji Ryokan is set in the Kojima district of Kurashiki, 13 km from Tanematsuyama Park, 16 km from Shinkeien Garden and 30 km from Rian Bunko Art Museum.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Yoshii Ryokan is situated in Kurashiki, 400 metres from Shinkeien Garden and 8.3 km from Tanematsuyama Park. Our room had an adjoining garden, which was peaceful and lovely. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The meals were traditional and delicious, with polite and kind staff. The bath was very enjoyable too.

Located just a 3-minute walk to Washu Highland Amusement Park, Washu Blue Resort Kasagol boasts open-air natural hot spring baths on the rooftop. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property.... The room was clean and spacious, the hotel included 2 onsen facilties on the rooftop alongside another on the lower floors, both the dinner and breakfast was served as a buffet with chefs handmaking sushi, steak, and egg orders fresh.

A 7-minute drive from Shin-Kurashiki Train Station, hotel Bingoya features a beautiful garden, traditional Japanese cuisine, and Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi and garden views. Bingoya is a wonderful traditional Ryokan and it was an amazing experience. Beautiful tatami mat rooms, shoji screens, sliding doors, hanging scroll alcoves, peaceful gardens with stone lanterns - perfect! Delicious breakfasts, which look gorgeous too. Lots of details in the buildings- inside and out, so it is lovely to contemplate your surroundings in one of a hundred different spots.
