The linen/cleaning cupboards were really well stocked with cleaning needs and spare blankets. The bedrooms and common areas were really lovely. There was some water provided in a dispenser for our arrival. There was quite good cookware and an excellent cooking space for kitchen duties. This all really stood out and made for a great impression. Excellent air con in both master room and common area. We appreciated the great care taken in all these ways and our experience is that the host takes constructive criticism with the best attitude, doing their best to implement improvements that reflect this, which makes them a truly competent host as far as I am concerned.

The only one big downside was the arrogant attitude and unprofessionalism by one of the reception staff (younger lady with dark curly hair). While all staff and management were amazing, this one lady was just so unpleasant to deal with about literally anything. We observed this behavior with other guests who were there at the same time too which made us really sad. As frequent travelers who deal with hospitality staff on a daily basis we really believe that anyone who doesn’t want to do this job shouldn’t do this job. Hospitality is a specific industry where if you don’t have or want to show basic manners to your guests, you’d be better off changing your job. With that said, it didn’t stop us from enjoying the kindness of all other people we met and our whole stay! Thank you all :)

Esperance Chalet Village is a collection of rustic chalets, cabins and shacks all individually styled. The idyllic bush hideaway is located on the edge of town and offers guests free WiFi. From the style of the cabin, to the interior design, the furniture, the quality of the bedlinen and the thoughtfulness that had gone into the layout, fixtures, and the items within the cabin - this was the perfect stay. The hard part is deciding on whether to have a shower or a bath, both are exceptional - it was a true escape, not to be missed.
