So quirky and so much history. The hotel was jam packed with mementos. Really moved by the Herring factory tour especially stories of personal experiences there. Such dedication to a cause. Isolated and beautiful. Lovely dining room and food. Kind and attentive, helpful staff. Loved everything about being here.

For anyone visiting the Northwest area of Iceland, this place was just beautiful. The idea of an outdoor pool, heated by a hot spring, and a smaller hot spring beside it was just a wonderful experience. A major plus was we did not have to pay much, unlike other properties, to use the pool. Breakfast was included in the price and was wonderful. I would recommend the dinner choice where you could sample all the delicious food. I'd love to live there :)

Make sure you visit the turf houses nearby - next to the hotel with a pool in the distance.
