Situated by the town hall in Skien city centre, Thon Hotel Høyers offers free WiFi and private parking is possible. The hotel manager and her staff were attentive, helpful, good listeners, and happy. We enjoyed all interactions with the staff. The breakfast was a feast. Beautiful and delicious. Canadian hotels could really learn something about breakfasts that are included with the room. The location was superb. Right in the heart of town. They do need to re-think the front entrance. I think it needs to be more accessible for the physically handicapped. Overall, a great hotel!

It was really well thought out. You have everything you need and more for a nice stay. The hostess Nita is such a wonderful person who goes beyond what's essential to make you feel welcome. Even brings you breakfast material like eggs from her own farm, and there is coffee and tea, amongst other things in the cupboards. In the bathroom, she not only leaves you towels but shampoos, conditioners, bodywashes, lotion, feminine products, first aid kit, laundry soap, blow dryer, and many other things to use. We were very pleasantly surprised. The area is close to everything, including a market 5 min walk away. It is in the center so there are a lot of beautiful things to see. Metro staition is also close by, so it is easy to get around. Thank you, Nita Besta, for this great experience. We will be back for sure!

Everything was spotless and well-maintained, making it feel very welcoming. Communication with the owner was smooth and efficient throughout. The location turned out to be an excellent base for hiking adventures—definitely a great choice for nature lovers. Highly recommended!
