Everything was sparkling clean. Host provided us milk and some biscuits which were really great as we arrived late and markets were closed.

Peaceful location was out of town, requiring drives to get to restaurants and grocery. We were touring the island by car, so this was no problem. Our only problem was realizing we were to call Carlos (card on the door) to get in! He lives off site, but provided a nice daily breakfast and was very responsive and eager to offer advise and answer questions. We enjoyed use of the washing machine and the kitchen for a couple simple dinners.

The kitchen is spacious, well-equipped, and functional, perfect for preparing meals to enjoy on the stunning panoramic veranda – ideal for aperitifs, dinners, or relaxing under the stars. A special thanks to Rui and Lina, the hosts: kind, welcoming, always available but never intrusive – truly wonderful people who clearly love what they do. This was a stay we won’t forget: authentic, peaceful and unforgettable. We’d go back in a heartbeat

Perched on the mountains of São Jorge Island, Cantinho offers a furnished terrace with an infinity pool and a hot tub. It offers luxurious, air-conditioned apartments with a private patio. The location is so incredibly beautiful! Close to both the airport and the Velas port for ferries, with access to hikes, and including a fabulous pool and all the other amenities you could want, this is the perfect place to stay on Sao Jorge. We used the comfortable apartment with squeaky clean linens, cooking and dishware, and patio furniture. Lots of space and surfaces for packing suitcases and feeling at home. The sunsets were STUNNING and all the requests we had were generously completed with smiles. Thank you so much to Max, Gabi, Thiago, and all the lovely staff!
