Located in Udawalawe, NATURE HOUSE offers rustic accommodation with free WiFi access available at all areas. Rooms are comfortable, clean and fitted with a spacious private terrace. Such a pleasant stay. The room was clean and felt new/renovated. The pool was lovely and the meals (breakfast and buffet dinner) were pretty good. We also liked the safari tour arranged by the hotel, we could sense the guide was interested in the wildlife he was showing us.

The ceiling fan was not functioning but they gave us a stand fan, which worked. But what made this place stand out is the very accommodating nature of Dimu and his staff. The breakfast was also delicious, the dhal curry is to die for. They also offered private transfer to neighbouring towns at affordable prices. They also offer affordable but very experienced safari guide (Sumudu) - we saw elephants at places where no one else was there. Definitely worth booking if you’re going for the safari!

We were so lucky that this place was recommended to us! A beautiful Lodge-Like Oasis in Udalawawe with a huge garden and right next to a calm river. The rooms were very spacious and with AC. The best part of it were the hosts, the whole family made us feel so welcome from the start, organised an amazing safari and their meals… wow! They definitely made sure that we can try all different kind of Sri Lankan dishes! We would come here again any time and recommend everyone to do so 😊

Kuma and his wife were so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble! The room was exceptionally clean , spacious and well equipped with a lovely covered area to relax with a book. Home cooked food was delicious and plentiful. Kuma also organised us a fantastic safari at the close by Udawalawe Park with a great driver/guide who found us lots of different animals, plus he arranged a trip to the Elephant Transit home which coincided with the baby elephants being given their milk. A truly unforgettable stay, and excellent value for money. I would definitely return there.
