The loveliest of places with the best hosts/owners. We arrived with a 2 wheel drive car during the heart of winter (dont get me started) and the hosts offered to get us chains, which we 100% needed. Mamiko was the best cook we had on our 2 week ski trip and Atsushi took us skiing, plus gave insider tips knowledge on where to ski the rest of our stay. I said 11/10 would stay again but its more like 12/10. Cozy, relaxed, and packed with snow. What more could you ask for.

It was epic to have the shuttles from the staff around town to go to dinner or go snowboarding or anything else we needed. Breakfast in the morning sharp at 7:30 got our day started right! They are very willing to help, dropping us off at the Myoko Kogen Train Station, and cooked us a lovely Japanese style breakfast each morning for 1000¥ a day.

The experience of staying in a traditional Japanese home/inn is amazing. Although dated, but it is tidy and clean. Bit of character and charm in this lovely lodge. Surrounding views are amazing! The owners only speak Japanese, but makes the effort to use Google Translate to help communication. Google doesn't get it right all the time, but we managed. Lovely old couple managing the place. You can pay a little more to arrange for the owner to cook you a traditional Japanese breakfast. It's the best breakfast I ever had! Great for people who are willing to understand the Japanese culture and experience the traditional Japanese way.
