Blanchard Mountain BnB offers a unique local experience away from crowded condominiums and generic timeshares. The suite is sunny, spacious and beautifully appointed. Backing onto a forrest reserve it has a sunroom and two private decks. You may be visited by elk or a Canmore bunny as you sip coffee or an evening cocktail.
It is the perfect place to work remotely or enjoy a family vacation. Blanchard Mountain BnB also caters to the mountain sports enthusiast. Access walking, running & biking trails from your door. Walk down a pathway system to a cafe, restaurant and more in 5 minutes.
Included: Parks Canada discovery pass for Banff.
Breakfast: You will find the fridge and 'pantry' fully stocked with a generous variety of locally sourced breakfast food. Including but not limited to: locally baked bread and pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt, organic smoothie & locally sourced granola and muesli, butter, milk and cream.
Barry Blanchard is a legendary alpinist who has lived in Canmore for over 35 years.Barry Blanchard is a legendary mountain guide and alpinist whose climbing biography includes Everest, K2 and many local Rockies first ascents.
Barry regularly contributes to the Alpinist and Gripped magazines. His first book is 'The Calling: a life rocked by mountains'. His second book is due to be published later this year. Barry is also famous for his story telling and public speaking presentations.
He is featured in recent movies such as The Alpinist, This Mountain Life, Dirtbag: The Legend of Fred Beckey. Watch for an upcoming documentary on Barry's life featured at the Banff Film Festival.
