Eric is disabled - a kidney transplant patient - and, after working as an elementary intervention teacher, Melanie is a professional property manager. Our sights are on Europe in the coming years - with Ireland, France and Italy on top of the list. The holy grail would be Australia & New Zealand (maybe some day). We love this neighborhood just North of the upscale "Golden Mile" residential area. It is still Ocean Blvd., but it is out of the crazy traffic of the South end. It is still close to everything and walkable to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and Cane Patch golf. There is even a Starbucks a few blocks away. This neighborhood is just a bit more quaint than the other areas of Ocean Blvd with tree-lined streets, uncrowded sidewalks, and an oceanfront fitness walk. In our opinions, it is the perfect combination of resort (with tons of amenities) and relaxing vacation. For the very best experience, we recommend that guests have a car. There is so much to do that the freedom of a car is very nice. However, other transportation options are available. There is a bus line that runs the length of Ocean Blvd. There are also plenty of taxi cabs available - including a taxi stand at Broadway at the Beach in case you need a ride back from the clubs. Uber and Lyft are plentiful and inexpensive.
