Located in Umhlanga Ridge, Holiday Inn Express Durban-Umhlanga is just 900 metres from Gateway Theatre of Shopping. La Lucia Ridge offices are a 2-minute drive away. The hotel offers secure undergound parking at R50 per vehicle per day and features 24 hour security for peace-of-mind. All rooms at Holiday Inn Express Durban-Umhlanga are equipped with a work desk, electronic safe, mini fridge (not stocked), tea/coffee making facilities and a private bathroom with signature Power Shower. Each room is air conditioned and has a 32" TV with a limited DStv satellite bouquet. Our Double Rooms feature a sleeper couch, which can be made up on request and can sleep a maximum of 2 children under 16. The hotels offers free, unlimited Wi-fi throughout. A complimentary Express Start Buffet Breakfast is served each morning and consists of a full continental spread (muffins, pastries, breads, cheeses, fruit, yoghurts, cereals, juices, coffees), as well as 5 hot items, including the standard favourites of scrambled eggs and bacon. If you don't have time to sit and eat breakfast, you can grab something from our Grab & Go section and have your coffee on the go. Whilst the hotel does not have its own restaurant, the popular Butcher Block Steak House is located right next to our pool area. We have a great relationship with Butcher Block and guests are able to sign their bill back to their room. The Butcher Block restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily. In the evenings, guests can enjoy a drink at our Great Room Bar before heading out to experience the Durban nightlife. Spend lazy summer days around the pool, which features pool loungers and does not have a lifeguard on duty. Holiday Inn Express Durban - Umhlanga is perfectly located 15 minutes by car from King Shaka International Airport and only 16kms from the Durban ICC.
