What truly sets them apart is their genuine happiness; their smiles are not just polite gestures, but reflect a sincere joy in welcoming guests back. Livia, a true gem, embodies the spirit of exceptional hospitality. Her kindness and proactive approach to ensuring a memorable stay are truly outstanding. One evening, facing a taxi fare with no change, Livia generously paid it herself, a gesture that profoundly impressed me. The hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. While the restaurant's gluten-free offerings could be more extensive to accommodate international dietary needs, the available menu provides ample choices for a brief stay. The Funny Lion continues to exceed expectations, and I'm consistently impressed by the warmth and authenticity of its staff.

It is a beautiful hotel. Keep in mind that a 4- or 5-star hotel in the Philippines are somewhat lower. This surprised us in many aspects. The best? 1) That the location is outside the center of El Nido in an authentic community 2) The food. I was afraid that I have read that the food is great but is of exact amount. We do not agree with those comments. It is true that it is designed for appetizer, main course and dessert. I believe that the owners are Spanish and Filipino that's why the proportion of the food is according to these cultures. They cook with good water and olive oil and the dishes do not exceed 10$ and it is super quality. We have enjoyed the food and repeated several dishes and wines. 3) The natural environment where you feel really connected with. 4) The private tours crafted just for you 5) Massages are exceptional 6) Game areas and pool offers enjoyment It is a place for the lovers of nature, books and exclusive services. A 10 to staff. We will be back for sure. They only have 7 cottages and as much as we want to stay for another couple of nights, sadly we can't because they are fully booked.

Western style bathroom in decent size and not common for the Philippines at all! Loved how well the room was insulated we barely needed to switch on the aircon. Breakfast choices were great and staff friendly.

The location is secluded and private (and requires a short boat ride to get there) offering private accommodation with exceptional bay sunset views, a super relaxing pool area and fantastic food. You do not need to leave for anything - everything is taken care of and can be arranged. Activities on offer are arranged with simplicity in mind and include everything from scooters, to kayaks, to diving, to snorkeling and more. The service is outstanding and the people are incredible.
