  - “Wow! The Ammata Lanta Resort is an absolute gem of Bangkok. We booked due to its proximity to the airport, free shuttle service, and cool looking interiors from the photos online. We had no idea what we were actually going to get. Upon pulling up in the taxi, we saw giant wooden turrets topped with golden horses. Dragon fountains decorate a lake surrounded by villas. We entered reception to see huge golden sofas that look like they belong in Versailles and artwork hung from every available space. We were given 10 minute complimentary massages which were wonderful and then a golf cart took us to our villa. The villas are very large and the high ceiling in the bedroom is glazed bricks in a conical shape. The decoration is eccentric and perfect for the feel of the resort. Our son enjoyed going through all drawers and cupboards in the retro furniture. Antiques, works of art, and hidden treasures are everywhere on the property. The salt water swimming pool is beautiful, clean, and has pool floats available. Air planes fly over at regular intervals but stop in the evening. It is really fun to see how close they fly to the resort and we used an app to track where they were coming and going from. The property provides ear plugs as well in case the noise bothers you. We found it really exciting and fun. Breakfast was great with western and asian options. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They even messaged us in the morning to see if we were ready for a golf cart to pick up our luggage and take us to the airport. We really enjoyed our stay and believe the Ammata Lanta Resort is an experience not to be missed.”
