- Room was a bit crammed - Railway line passes directly behind the house, so one needs to close windows at night - There is no restaurant in the village open on Sundays so one needs to go to Brienz village

- Just 5 minutes walk to the lake Brienz shore with ferry boat station (one daily connection to famous Giessbach waterfalls) and bathing spot (public staircases into the lake) as well as beautiful 200 year old wooden houses. The village is very calm and not overrun by tourists - 5 minutes walk from Oberried railway station - Location on the road with parking in front of the house - Only 30 minutes drive to famous spots Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen - Nice hosts and good breakfast

The noise from the train passing sometimes behind the hotel wasn’t pleasant at the beginning but they are so fast that I got used to it and I couldn’t hear them anymore. It’s not as bad. They don’t run in the night, so I could sleep very well because it’s very quiet in the night. The other thing was the strong fatty smell coming from the restaurant kitchen inside my room when they were frying something, so I closed the windows.

The owner were super friendly, helpful, really great people. The room was big and comfortable, very clean. In the restaurant with the view of the lake the breakfast was delicious, the location is exceptional, with lake view, easy to reach by car or train or boat. Boat Station few steps down and 2 min from the hotel. The train station not far. By car you can reach everywhere. Cute little town.

Not about the hotel. Just a comment/advice to other traveller about the location - be sure you prepared your essentials (including snacks) as Oberried has no nearby shops (not that I am aware of). The location is absolutely the best for those who want to relax and enjoy the lakeview, and get away from the busy & touristy places.

Room/linens/bathroom are super clean; Location is absolutely relaxing, the view of the lake is gorgeous, lesser tourists but close to either Interlaken (11 mins) or Brienz (10 mins) in case you forgot to buy some essentials; Super lovely couple who make us feel at home, from the moment we checked in - the positive & welcoming vibe was just excellent! Breakfast was sufficient & served with tender love & care - we love the yoghurt, ham, & various breads/jams (& thanks for letting us have the boiled egg). We ordered the hawaiian pizza for dinner, and it's one of the best pizzas I've had so far, yummy! Wifi signal superfast! Will definitely be back next time 🥰

If you are here late, you don't have any choices to eat, not even a small meal at the hotel. As a suggestion maybe below the stairs there could be a machine with snacks. Also a very negative point was the fact that there is, at least, two Hotel Rössli in Interlaken, very far away from each other by public transportation. One is in Interlaken West and the other Interlaken Ost. Maybe a warning in the description of the hotel on the website would be a helpful suggestion.

The hotel owner waited for us although we arrived way later after the check-in. The best view and good free coffee.

Hotel Rössli was advertised for interlaken but it was in Oberried and when I went to check in nobody was there very bad to mislead there customers I went to rossli in interlaken they said they advertised wrong information and I met few other customers had the same problem I was very dissatisfied I think i wasted my money

The only negative with our stay was that we booked it around our Interrail passes. The local station was closed for the foreseeable future due to the track being damaged at Brienz. There was a bus replacement service but the info was sketchy at the station meaning we missed an hourly bus on the first day. As the holiday progressed we learnt the procedure and spent some time directing other lost tourists at Interlaken Ost.

Theresia and Vincenzo make the Hotel Rossli a very welcoming place. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. Comfortable bed in a lovely room. The local church chimes at 15 minute intervals but I found this really appealing. Our hosts even lent us warm hats for a trip to the Jungfrau. They also helped us with some washing. Altogether a great experience and if you are planning a Interlaken trip stay just outside at the Rossli in Oberried and you won't be disappointed.

Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Parking is available (at a cost). Close to Brienz and Interlaken and essentially a nice point to travel from to most areas.

- The hotel itself looks a bit old, so a small renovation wouldn't hurt, especially in the bathroom, which was quite dark and lacked hanging/storage areas. Although this was not a big issue for our short stay. - There's no closet in the room, so places to hang and hangers are definitely something we missed. - Pillows are a bit uncomfortable, as they're too low and soft. - We missed more savoury options during breakfast (cold cuts: meat) and small veggies / fruit. - We didn't know we could pre-order some alternative options for dairy before our arrival. But there's the option according to the host. - There was some construction going on right in front, so it started to get a bit noisy at around 6-7am.

-The couple who runs the business are very friendly and helpful hosts! - Unbeatable location (when travelling by car). Mind-blowing views to Brinzersee. - Free complimentary bottles of water. - Fan upon request. - Good wifi connection. - Small fridge in the room. - Nice balcony where you can eat something whilst enjoying the views. - Breakfast is served by the host. It's mainly sweet options + cheese + bread. Warm drinks and orange juice. They offer you more if needed, which is great to avoid waste, which happens quite often in buffet like breakfasts.

Location. Lovely lake view room with a balcony. A little older hotel, however, the room was clean and neat with plenty of room for the three of us. The staff was exceptional! They were extremely polite and helpful for check-in, extra questions, and check-out. Location was a short 5 min walk down the hill from the train station. Our dinner in their restaurant was delicious! Our free morning breakfast was plenty - we had yogurt, cheese, bread, and hard boiled eggs. They made us wonderful “cafe lattes” for breakfast. It was a great value for the money in Brienz.

The host couple, view, location, room, breakfast etc. everything was amazing. Special mention :: We missed our scheduled train to rothorn barn station, the owner was so kind that he drove us to brienz station. Otherwise we would have missed our rothorn slot. If you are reading this you can book this without giving any second thought.

The room is quite dark. The rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator (so a little difficult with the suitcases.) No kitchen. (There is a mini fridge)

There is no lift, so it would be a bit difficult to bring the weighty luggage to the 2nd floor.

The breakfast was very good. Various of bread and croissants, including yoghurt and jams. The surprise was the colorful eggs. We thought it was not the real egg, only toys :) Hot chocolate, Coffee, or Cappuccino was also served during breakfast. Perfect! Microwave and Oven would be great equipment to cook things when we are hungry or prepare meals for the kids during the trip. Spacious place for a small group, you could play the piano as well. The location is just right - we can wake-up with the view of the lake and mountain. We took the family room with balcony and lake view. It only takes 5 mins from the train station. The most of all, I was so surprise when Vincento invited me to see his fancy car -- Ferrari and Maserati.. hahaha.. I wish we could drive it sometimes in the next visit..
