Spacious rooms compared to standard Japanese hotels. Loved having a couch next to the tv. Big, delicious breakfast every morning. Gareth and Rika, the owners, couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. Was thankful for the shuttle up to the lifts every morning, even though it’s a short walk.

The hotel was extremely beautiful and the hosts were superb.
The hotel was extremely beautiful and the hosts were superb. All of the tourist spots in the photos were easily accessible from the hotel and absolutely worthwhile. They included Tomita Farm, a nearby waterfall near Biei, Blue Pond near Biei, the park opposite the hotel Air Furano and the Furano shrine. Highly recommend.

Furnano town itself is dead in April.
Furnano town itself is dead in April. The only reason to go there are the cheese factory and wine factory. But distances between both are great. Unfortunately, the wine factory was closed at the time we went to Furano (mid-April). The cheese factory experience was great. After which we called a cab (local charges) to Ningle Terrace. This artist village is barely functioning in April -- very few shops were open. But there was one owned by a retired architect that made spinners that come back to you (cool).
Gitst: Spring is not the time to visit Furano. All the other seasons would be great. Example: flowers and fruit in the summer season.

Big mountain by Japanese standards with lots of varied terrain. Suitable for intermediates and advanced skiers, a little less so for real beginners. Not overly westernised so still has a Japanese feel. Generally very good snow.

When kids asleep I can go down have free ramen with my husband . The onsen was very nice and private onsen suitable for our whole family. Winter wonderland with amazing views.
Winter wonderland with amazing views. Powder snow everywhere, perfect for snowball fights and snowmen making. Local business owners are lovely to talk to. It’s a quiet place and life takes a more relaxed pace here. Stop by at Fukuzushi/ Fuku Sushi for the biggest nigiri you have ever laid your eyes on. The sushi chefs of Fuku sushi have been making sushi in Furano for at least 40 years. Say hi to chef Ohno, he’s a lovely guy and very friendly. Our hotel La Vista Furano was a destination in and of itself. Skiing at New Furano Prince Hotel’s Furano zone for the first time treated us to some of the best winter views and the best powder snow. The only downside would be that there aren’t a lot of readily available transportation options during the winter, so always book taxis or buses in advance.

DAY TRIP IS ENOUGH: If you are not skiing, I would recommend...
DAY TRIP IS ENOUGH: If you are not skiing, I would recommend that you take a day trip bus tour from Sapporo Station. All the sites can be seen in one bus tour; best to stay the night and other nights in Sapporo.
JR FURANO STATION (TRAIN): AVOID IF YOU HAVE LUGGAGES: Be warned: no elevator or escalator in this Station, and to reach any platform from the entrance, you need to climb up one steep flight of stairs, walk through a bridgeway, and walk down another steep flight of stairs. Very very difficult if you have large luggages, and not fit!
I would recommend avoiding this station if you have luggages. Note that there is a bus which takes you from Furano to Ashikara station or even Sapporo station, and the travel time between the train trip (with at least 2 train transfers) and the more comfortable bus trip is almost the same. If dragging luggages from train to train AND up/down stairs is an issue: take the bus!
Directly opposite the lift, social lounge with drinks and snacks provided daily. Small shop with additional drinks and snacks available. Buffet Breakfast was spectacular. This hotel had everything we could have wanted. Discounted lift passes and good ski hire equipment in the lobby.
Although it was very family focused with a kids club area, we didn't hear a sound whilst in our room and never noisy with kids (wouldn't have minded if it was we love kids but ours are all grown up).
Location is v good -convenient. Takes few minutes to walk from the Furano Station to the hotel. The shop street is vv near the hotel- Furano Mache and the little shops ,supermarkets n restaurants are all around the hotel n within walking distance. Location also not far from the Flower farms with their lovely summer blooms. Staff members are very polite and helpful. Breakfast is fine offering a variety choice of Japanese and Western breakfast.
Thank you for a pleasant stay.
Breakfast is good, room is ok, ski is ok but reservation system very bad. I did reserved for 7 people 3 rooms, when arrived front said that they received information only 5 people. Which i don't know it coz from Booking.com or Hotel. Try to contact booking.com to solve this issue. Booking.com is very suck only email update booking information and some miscommunication reply email from booking.com. Will not use this fuckin booking.com again.
Mick and Mamiko were great hosts and really made me feel safe and looked after. The room was comfortable, daily breakfast included was very nice, and it was easy to meet people in the evenings by the fireplace. It's only a few blocks from Furano ski resort and Rhythm rentals which made going skiing a breeze. Highly recommend if you need a place close to the mountain and are looking for a more personal B&B stay.
The hotel provided us with a lovely stay in lovely Furano. It has all we could ask for - an onsen, free coffee, juice and tea in the lobby, free ramen late at night, and a spacious and comfy room. The location is excellent - many farms, wineries and cheese factories are around. The staff is lovely, as always in Japan. Highly recommended!
The cleanliness of the house, the excellent washing machine which dries all my clothes at the same time. Hiro was an excellent host too! He drove us to our ski resort and more importantly helped us get around Furano after we couldn’t get our rental car. He charged us very affordable rates too! Thank you for saving our holiday!
The hotel was very nice and clean and all the staff are very hospitable. The room was more spacious than I thought and gets a pretty good view of the city too. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who comes to ski in Furano. The value for the price was truly amazing, and they also have very good breakfast! don't miss out.
Convenient location - close to the Kitanomine zone slopes, Lawson, and there's also a public bath in the hotel across the road. Fully equipped kitchen, allowing self-catered stay. I was lucky to stay at the tail end of the ski season, when there was no one around. At some point I was the only guest in the whole hotel.
The location was spot on. The room was more spacious than expected. The B&B was clean, remodeled/new and the people were friendly. Breakfast was a plus for sure. Wish there were less people but by nature of posting a good review, it's great for the hotel, not so great when I want to return!!!
We are very happy staying here. Every things is perfect. Room is very nice, space is just right and comfort. Facility-Onsen are very good. Foods at the restaurant are great and not too expensive. The hotel also close to the train station and bus station, very easy to travel around.❤️
The biggest room we have stayed in (for Japan.) The host was so kind to let us drop our luggage in the morning- we had to move hotels in the middle of our trip, but still wanted to go ski. The host met us there at 9:30am and let us leave it. Great proximity to the slopes.
Great place to stay. Modern house in a nice part of Furano. We stayed (family of 5) for a weeks skiing holiday. Two toilets, ski gear drying area, laundry, great bathroom and a big TV. Very comfortable stay. Teenagers rate the WiFi.
Large rooms and a welcoming lounge area, take out cafe just a minute away on the grounds and only 5 minutes walk to the ski slopes. Staff kept our luggage and let us use the hotel parking while we skied prior to check in.
Being a new hotel which opened a month ago, the facilities were perfect. The rooms were clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The spa (onsen) although small, had very nice ambience.
Bus station at door, very easy to get to Ski resort. The staffs are very kind and nice. Every shared space is clean and well maintained. My #1 choice if I traveling alone again to Furano.
