We wanted to truly experience Japan so we stayed in a tatamii own Onsen (mineral baths) which was lovely. My husband and I went to the Onsen daily. The hotel is centrally located. We came to Sapporo for the Ice and Snow Festival and it was a quick walk to the sculpture sites. The shopping streets and subway station is also just a quick walk. We highly recommend the La'gent hotel.

The room is very tastefully furnished in the style of a japanese guest house with tatami mats on the floor. It is equipped with all important amenities and complimentary water, tea and small snacks. We had a tatami-room with seating area and a futon. I loved it, but be aware you practically sleep only a few centimeters above the floor. Bath was one of the larger japanese standard cabins, with a big tub and more space than average.
