Located in Kirishima and only 9.2 km from Kirishima Jingu Shrine, Kirishima Momijidani Seiryuso provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We enjoyed very much the private onsen in the room, as well as the outdoor family onsen that you can reserve. Food was excellent.

Yurian is located in Ibusuki, 10 km from Ibusuki Onsen. There is a pool and hot springs bath on site. Pool and hot springs bath water are replaced 2 times a day. All their staff were very warm, friendly and super helpful. Love the Spring onsen plus a separate spring swimming pool in the villa. Amazing views!!

Offering a garden and mountain view, Iseebisou is located in Ibusuki, 49 km from Kagoshima Station and 17 km from Chiran Peace Museum. Good location, can see sunrise and sunset. Excellent food, dinner have 4 courses with lobster 🦞

Situated within 47 km of Kagoshima Chuo Station and 48 km of Kagoshima Station, Bihadanoyu Koshikano Onsen offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kirishima. Private onsen in the room. Nice staff with multilingual translator. Shuttle bus avalaible. Great food, quiet place.

Hanon～波音～ has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Tatsugo, 1.1 km from Kurasaki Beach. 30 km from Amami Marine Exhibition Hall, the ryokan offers a garden and a bar. It’s a family owned guest house with mother, father and two kids born 2020 and 2023. The father speaks English and that is friendly and eager to help. The common area is the same as the family’s private space. As a family you have access to a big bath tub big enough for four people. The house is made out of mainly wood, which is spacious and cozy. They created small areas for kids to play. Example a small ropeway. The father likes spear fishing. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful family made the trip to Amami really pleasant. Recommended.

Situated just 8.9 km from Kirishima Jingu Shrine, Kirishima miyama hotel features accommodation in Kirishima with access to an open-air bath, a garden, as well as luggage storage space. The room is a basic tatami room with futon. What makes this place stand out to me are the numerous bath houses…there are 3 outdoor baths as well as an indoor bath. All can be accessed privately with a key system which makes it very relaxing. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very kind and polite.

Offering a restaurant, Rainbow Sakurajima is located in Kagoshima. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning. There is also an electric kettle. A very nice Japanese style hotel right by the ferry terminal.

A 5-minute walk from Tenmonkandori Tram Station, Nakahara Bessou offers Japanese-style and Western accommodations with a flat-screen TV and refreshing public hot-spring baths. The staff are very friendly and make great efforts to help. The hotel is traditional with kind of unhurried pace and subtle respect to guests. Location is best especially for visitors on short visits to Kagoshima.

Overlooking Kagoshima Bay, Hakusuikan boasts an outdoor pool and a variety of spacious indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, including a Sunamushi sand hot-spring. This hotel was a very nice surprise. Our room was exceptional - a very spacious, luxurious room with four different areas. The entry way to our room as well as the furnishings in the room were beautiful. It was a great place to relax. The view from our windows was magnificent! Our dinner was very delicious and filling. The breakfast was also very good. The hot sand bath - sunamushi sakaba - was a new, great experience for us. The onsen area is very large and clean, a nice place to soak after a long day. If you go, enjoy the bar located by the onsen - it's free to hotel guests and the bartender was very kind.

Japanese-style rooms with Nitanda River views, green tea and traditional futon bedding await guests at Ryokan Kawakyu, located a 8-minute drive from JR Ibusuki Train Station. Sweet and clean little family Ryokan close to the harbour of Ibusuki, about half an hour walk from the hot sand spa. If you stay, you must have the excellent traditional Japanese food for dinner, that is prepared by the sweet and friendly hostess with a lot of love.
